Washington (Monitoring Desk): Chairman of the U.S. Joint Chiefs of Staff, General Dan Caine, has revealed key details of the American military operation carried out in Venezuela. Addressing a press conference alongside U.S. President Donald Trump and the Defense Secretary, General Caine stated that the operation was conducted on President Trump’s orders to bring Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro and his wife before the law.
According to General Caine, preparations for the operation had been underway for several months, utilizing decades of military experience. The operation involved coordinated participation from ground, air, and naval forces, while intelligence agencies including the CIA, NSA, NGA, and others provided full support.
He said that more than 150 aircraft took part in the operation, departing from 20 different land and naval bases. The aerial fleet included F-22, F-35, F-18, EA-18, E-2 aircraft, B-1 bombers, and other support aircraft.
General Caine emphasized that failure was not an option for U.S. joint forces, and the operation was executed with full preparation and coordination.
