Lahore (Sports Desk) — Significant changes are expected in the Pakistan cricket team’s squad for the three-match ODI series against Bangladesh, with the possibility of senior players being left out.
According to media reports, this decision is being made with the team’s next major tournament, the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup 2026, in mind, aiming to better prepare for the T20 World Cup 2028.
Sources indicate that the team management and selectors favor introducing new faces to create a stronger long-term plan. The three ODIs against Bangladesh are scheduled for March 11, 13, and 15, 2026, at the Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium, with the squad expected to depart on March 9. However, ongoing regional tensions may also impact the national team’s tour.
