Islamabad (Pakistan News): Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Barrister Muhammad Ali Saif has revealed that, following the final instructions of PTI founder Imran Khan, he is facilitating communication between PTI and the establishment.
Speaking to The News, Barrister Saif stated that he desires the release of both Imran Khan and Bushra Bibi and is willing to play any possible role to achieve this goal. He added that his connections with the establishment span several decades, which he is leveraging to assist his party and its leader.
Barrister Saif last met Imran Khan on November 4 last year at Adiala Jail. Although PTI is perceived to be internally divided between hardliners and reconciliation supporters, Saif belongs to the group that prefers dialogue and compromise over confrontation.
Last month, in a social media statement, he emphasized that tensions between PTI and the defense institutions are not in the national interest. He stated that both parties should exercise patience and responsibility to find sustainable solutions through negotiations.
Barrister Saif further warned that mutual confrontation and clashes on the streets not only harm the country but also strengthen hostile forces. He advised PTI workers and state officials to avoid making provocative and hateful statements against each other, emphasizing that reconciliation, unity, and consensus are the need of the hour.
