Lahore (Sports Desk) The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has expressed ignorance regarding reports about a letter being sent to the ICC in support of Bangladesh’s stance. A PCB spokesperson stated that the board has not received any official information about such a letter.
According to the PCB, the board was not informed of any written request or letter to the ICC concerning Bangladesh’s decision not to travel to India for the T20 World Cup. The spokesperson clarified that the board became aware of the reports only through the media.
Meanwhile, some media reports claimed that the PCB had sent a letter to the ICC a day before the final decision on Bangladesh’s participation in the T20 World Cup, allegedly supporting the Bangladesh Cricket Board’s position. The reports suggested that the letter justified Bangladesh’s decision not to play in India due to the prevailing political situation in the region and that it was also circulated among other ICC board members.
However, the Pakistan Cricket Board has neither officially confirmed nor denied these claims, leaving the matter unresolved.
