50 Female Students to Perform Umrah as Reward in Dubai

Dubai (Monitoring Desk) The Islamic Affairs and Charitable Activities Department (IACAD) in Dubai has arranged for 50 high-achieving female students to perform Umrah with their families as a special reward for their academic excellence. The initiative is part of the “Year of the Family 2026” program.

The students were selected from various community centers in Dubai, including Al Mazhar Islamic Cultural Center, Ummah Al-Sheif Islamic Cultural Center, and Nadd Al Sheba Women’s Center. Each student will be accompanied by her male guardian during the Umrah pilgrimage.

Ahmed Darwish Al Muhairi, Director General of the department, said the initiative combines academic achievement, family support, and spiritual development. He added that such efforts promote dedication to education and encourage positive roles for women in society.

Al Muhairi assured that the department will continue to implement initiatives that foster academic excellence, women’s empowerment, family cohesion, and Islamic values, aiming to cultivate knowledgeable and socially responsible women.
