Bangkok (Monitoring Desk): At least 22 people have been killed in Thailand after a heavy construction crane fell onto a passenger train.
According to foreign news agencies, the incident occurred in Sukhiu district of Nakhon Ratchasima province when the crane suddenly toppled onto the train tracks. The impact caused the train to derail, with several carriages catching fire, resulting in significant casualties and property damage.
Authorities said many people are still trapped under the debris, and rescue operations are ongoing. The injured have been transported to nearby hospitals, while rescue teams and relief agencies remain on-site. Officials have warned that the death toll may rise and have launched an investigation to determine the cause of the accident.
