Mumbai (Showbiz Desk): Indian actor and South cinema superstar Thalapathy Vijay has responded to the ongoing controversy surrounding his marriage after his wife filed for divorce.
According to Indian media reports, a few days ago, Vijay’s wife Sangeeta Sornalingam submitted a divorce petition in court after 25 years of marriage. The social activist and businesswoman filed the request in the Chengalpattu district court of Tamil Nadu, seeking a formal dissolution of the marriage. She also requested permanent alimony and the right to continue residing in the marital home post-divorce.
Speaking to the media, Thalapathy Vijay asked people not to worry about the recent issues surrounding him, calling them “not worth your time.” He further stated that he would personally handle the matters and expressed that his greatest sorrow is seeing people upset or distressed because of his problems.
Recent reports indicate that Sangeeta Sornalingam has filed a new court request seeking residential rights in the marital home. She is reportedly asking either to continue living in the same house or to receive alternative accommodation along with fair and permanent alimony.
