Karachi (Commerce Desk): The State Bank of Pakistan has issued a nationwide microfinance banking license to Sindh Microfinance Bank Limited. Effective from February 10, 2026, the bank is now authorized to provide microfinance services across the country.
The move is part of broader financial stability measures aimed at improving access to financial services for small business owners and low-income groups. Experts say the decision is expected to enhance financial inclusion and provide targeted support to underserved segments.
