Ranveer Singh Receives Extortion Threat, Security Tightened

Mumbai (Showbiz Desk): Security has been further tightened at the Mumbai residence of Bollywood star Ranveer Singh and actress Deepika Padukone. According to Indian media reports, Ranveer Singh received a threatening voice note via WhatsApp demanding a large sum of money as extortion.

Reports state that the actor took the matter seriously and immediately informed the Mumbai Police, after which authorities launched an investigation. Police sources say inquiries are underway from multiple angles to identify the unknown individual who sent the threatening message.

It has been reported that the voice message referenced the Beaumonde building in Mumbai’s Prabhadevi area, where Ranveer Singh resides. In view of security concerns, the number of armed personnel deployed outside the building has been increased.

In a letter sent by the housing complex to the local police, it was stated that six armed security guards were deployed without prior approval of the society’s managing committee. Additionally, a uniformed police officer has also been assigned to duty alongside the private security team.

On the professional front, Ranveer Singh’s recent film Dhurandhar is being counted among the notable hits of 2025, with reports suggesting that work on its sequel has already begun. Meanwhile, Deepika Padukone was last seen in Singham Again in September 2024 before the birth of her daughter and is now preparing to appear alongside Shah Rukh Khan in the upcoming film King.

Police officials have stated that the matter is being thoroughly investigated from all aspects and that security arrangements will be maintained in accordance with the situation.
