Islamabad (Commerce Desk): The government has finalized a panel of three officers for the appointment of Pakistan’s new Executive Director at the Asian Development Bank (ADB).
According to sources, Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar has shortlisted three officers from the Pakistan Administrative Service, including two women. The leading candidate is Grade-22 officer Sarah Saeed, currently serving as Special Secretary in the Establishment Division.
Other candidates include former Finance Secretary and current Health Secretary Hamidi Yaqub Sheikh. Sources added that if Hamidi Yaqub is not sent to Manila, he could be appointed as Secretary Petroleum.
