Non-Banking Sector Assets Rise by 21%, Reach PKR 6.84 Trillion

Karachi (Commerce Desk): During the first half of the current fiscal year, Pakistan's non-banking financial sector recorded a significant increase in its assets. According to the latest data from the Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan, the value of non-banking sector assets reached PKR 6.84 trillion by December 2025, up from PKR 5.63 trillion in June 2025, marking a 21% growth.

The data shows that the assets of mutual funds rose to PKR 4.5 trillion, while the number of funds increased from 369 to 409. During the same period, the number of mutual fund investment accounts reached 845,000, reflecting an 8% increase since June 2025.

Investment trends indicate that 44% of funds were invested in money market funds, 23% in income funds, and 14% in equity funds. These figures highlight the growth and increasing investment trends in Pakistan's non-banking financial sector.
