A few days ago, a video of Mahnoor went viral on social media, in which she alleged inappropriate messages and harassment by an influential figure in the showbiz industry. Although no name was mentioned in the video, users and industry circles inferred that she was referring to Umar Mukhtar.
The controversy has ignited renewed debate on social media, particularly about sexual misconduct and the protection of women in the entertainment industry. Several other women have voiced support for Mahnoor’s stance, intensifying the dispute.
Umar Mukhtar, considered one of Pakistan’s leading producers and closely associated with several top stars, sent a defamation legal notice to Mahnoor. In response, she issued a legal reply through her lawyer, raising the likelihood of the matter reaching court.
