Islamabad (Commerce Desk): Special Assistant to the Prime Minister, Haroon Akhtar Khan, held a high-level meeting in Russia with the Pakistani ambassador to discuss the revival of Pakistan Steel Mills in detail.
Haroon Akhtar Khan stated that Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s vision is to make Pakistan Steel Mills operational again, and this vision is now turning into reality. He revealed that five companies have shown interest in investing in and reviving the steel mills.
The Special Assistant further added that this partnership with Russia marks a new chapter in Pakistan’s history, with Russian companies eager to invest in and contribute to the revival of Pakistan Steel Mills.
Haroon Akhtar Khan noted that a comprehensive roadmap for the revival has been prepared and the process is progressing rapidly, including meetings with Russian officials to expedite the project.
