Gold Prices Surge Further, Putting It Out of Reach for Public

Karachi (Business Desk): On Wednesday, gold prices rose in both international and local markets, making the precious metal even more expensive for the public.

In the international bullion market, the price of gold increased by $23 per ounce, reaching a new global rate of $5,058 per ounce. Local markets also saw a rise in gold prices. The price of 24-carat gold per tola increased by PKR 2,300 to reach PKR 528,562, while the price per 10 grams rose by PKR 1,972 to PKR 453,156.

Silver prices also went up. The price per tola increased by PKR 120 to PKR 8,735, and per 10 grams, it rose by PKR 103 to PKR 7,488.

The rising prices of gold and silver have caused concern for both investors and ordinary buyers.
