Karachi (Showbiz Desk) — Senior Pakistani actor Jamal Shah has addressed circulating reports regarding his appearance alongside his former wife during a private TV channel’s Ramadan transmission. He clarified that their participation in the program was neither the result of any controversy nor an unusual situation, but rather a dignified and professional decision.
Jamal Shah is one of Pakistan’s renowned and multi-talented artists. He has rendered significant services in the fields of painting, sculpture, acting, and singing. He began his artistic journey at Pakistan Television Quetta Centre as a singer and musician, and later stepped into the world of acting, where he earned recognition for his distinctive talent.
His notable dramas include Naqab Sang, Jungle, Koh Kan, Band Gali, Madar, Bullay Shah, and Barish Kay Baad, while his performance in Tere Ishq Ke Naam was also widely appreciated by audiences.
Recently, he appeared in a private channel’s Ramadan transmission alongside his former wife and fellow artist Faryal Gohar. The program was also attended by Nadia Khan and Zoheb Hassan. During the show, he openly responded to questions regarding his participation in another program as well.
Jamal Shah stated that he had been invited to the program and later learned that Faryal Gohar had also been invited at the same time. According to him, they mutually agreed to participate so that all matters could be clarified on one occasion and no misunderstandings would remain.
He emphasized that their intention was not to create any discomfort but to handle the situation with patience and dignity.
Responding to another question, he said that since both belong to the same profession, meeting each other is not unusual. There was no room for embarrassment or awkwardness in the situation.
Jamal Shah further added that he himself was satisfied with the decision, and his current wife, Aamna, had no objections. He described Aamna as very understanding and supportive, saying she has always guided him wisely. Therefore, appearing together on screen did not cause any difficulty.
