Lahore (Commerce Desk) – Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz has revoked the decision to close shops and restaurants at 10 PM during Ramadan and has issued an official notification to this effect.
According to the notification issued by the Punjab government, the Chief Minister approved requests from traders, chain stores, supermarkets, and restaurant associations, granting exemption from the 10 PM closing time for shops and business centers.
The restriction to close shops by 10 PM has now been lifted, and instructions have been issued to commissioners, deputy commissioners, and relevant departments across the province.
During a Zoom meeting, Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz directed that no restrictions be imposed on business hours during Ramadan, allowing commercial activities to continue 24 hours a day throughout Punjab during the holy month.
The notification clarified that officers responsible for administrative affairs will not enforce restrictions on the operating hours of shops and business centers during Ramadan.
