Lahore (Commerce Desk) – The State Bank of Pakistan has announced that on the 1st of Ramadan, all government and private banks across the country will remain closed.
According to the notification issued by the bank, on 1st Ramadan 1447 Hijri, all banking transactions with the public will be suspended due to the process of Zakat deduction.
The notification further stated that along with government and private banks, development finance institutions and microfinance banks will also remain closed for public transactions on this day.
