Mumbai (Showbiz Desk): Bollywood actor Ayush Sharma, brother-in-law of superstar Salman Khan, has reportedly received a threatening message, sparking concern within the entertainment industry.
According to Indian media reports, Ayush Sharma—husband of Salman Khan’s sister Arpita Khan—received a threatening email allegedly sent by an individual claiming association with the Lawrence Bishnoi gang.
Just a day earlier, actor Ranveer Singh was also reportedly threatened through a WhatsApp voice message, with the sender allegedly demanding millions of Indian rupees as extortion. Following that incident, security outside his residence was tightened.
Mumbai Crime Branch officials have confirmed that Ayush Sharma received the threatening email via Proton Mail. Police have initiated an investigation to trace the sender and determine the motive behind the threat.
Authorities are also examining whether the email originated from within India or from abroad.
