On Monday night, dense fog continued to hinder road traffic on motorways across Punjab, causing major inconvenience for travelers.
A Motorway spokesperson reported that several routes were completely closed due to reduced visibility. These include Motorway M2 (Lahore to Kot Momin), Motorway M3 (Faizpur to Darkhana), Motorway M4 (Abdul Hakim to Multan), Motorway M5 (Shershah to Zahir Pir), and Motorway M11 (Lahore to Sialkot).
Motorway police have advised commuters to use the Grand Trunk (GT) Road as an alternative route. They also stressed the need for cautious driving, maintaining low speeds, and keeping fog lights on.
Authorities have urged residents to avoid non-essential travel and remain indoors for safety. The thick fog has not only disrupted motorways but has also caused delays on the National Highway at various locations across the province.
