PPP Leader Murtaza Criticizes PML-N and PTI as Alike, Defends Pakistan’s Nuclear Program
Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) leader Syed Hassan Murtaza criticized the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), labeling them as two sides of the same coin during a media briefing in Lahore on Saturday.
Murtaza claimed that the PTI founder’s recent support for political dialogue is driven by external pressures. He also commended the dedication of PPP workers who honored the party’s leadership in Garhi Khuda Bakhsh.
Citing PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari’s statements, Murtaza highlighted concerns about Western opposition to Pakistan’s nuclear capabilities. He called for treason charges against anyone threatening the nation’s nuclear program.
Bilawal Bhutto Zardari previously voiced alarm over international challenges facing Pakistan, noting that criticism extends beyond individuals to the country’s nuclear and missile programs.
He reaffirmed the PPP’s commitment to defending Pakistan against conspiracies and strongly condemned foreign attempts to weaken the nation’s defense capabilities.
