Dense Fog Disrupts Traffic and Closes Motorway Sections in Punjab
Thick fog enveloped several cities in Punjab overnight from Friday to Saturday, causing significant disruptions to daily life and road traffic.
According to a Motorway spokesperson, several sections of the Motorway were closed due to reduced visibility, including the M2 between Lahore and Kot Momin, the M3 from Faizpur to Darkhana, and parts of the M4.
Motorway police have advised travelers to use the Grand Trunk (GT) Road as an alternative route and urged drivers to exercise caution by lowering speed and using fog lights.
Authorities have also urged the public to avoid unnecessary travel and stay indoors. The dense fog has not only impacted Motorway traffic but has also caused disruptions along various sections of the National Highway across the province.
