The PTI social media team launched vicious propaganda campaign against former Pakistan captain and most prominent celebrity Shahid Afridi. The main reason of this propaganda is viral video of Shahid Afridi in which he criticized former Prime Minister Imran Khan. This video was recorded in 2022 in London but become viral recently.as soon as the video started circulating on the social media the PTI social media reacted angerly.
In the video, the former captain speaks about the vote of no confidence against Imran Khan and the promises he made. Shahid Afridi pointed out that former Prime Minister Imran Khan failed to deliver on his promises. His criticism of Imran Khan government did not went well with the PTI supporters and social media teams.
The two PTI Leaders Ali Muhammad Khan and Sher Afzal Marwat try to rescue Shahid Afridi but received shut up call from social media. Sher Afzal Marwat used his X account to blame social media team of PTI for propaganda against Shahid Afridi. He declared malicious campaign as false and irrelevant. PTI social media actives Azhar Mashwani asked Marwat to delete his post.
Meanwhile, Ali Muhammad Khan said that both Imran Khan and Shahid Afridi are National heroes. The PTI social media has used strong language against their own Leaders. PTI social media teams are known for targeting their opponents. Anyone who dare to criticize Imran Khan face trolling from PTI social media. Shahid Afridi has become the latest example of this behavior.
Shahid Afridi has reacted to the propaganda campaign against him and said that it has become difficult to differentiate between truth and lies. He said that the difference between a journalist and a troll is that the journalist investigate as slandering someone is the easiest thing to do.
It seems that PTI has learned nothing from its past. It still spread false information and propaganda against its opponents without verifying the facts.
